Workspaces
A workspace is your label’s, imprint’s, or management company’s home in ReleaseLoop. All releases, artists, contacts, financials, and other data belong to a workspace — and each workspace is completely separate.
How workspaces work
Section titled “How workspaces work”- Each user can belong to multiple workspaces
- You have one active workspace at a time
- All data you see — releases, artists, contacts, financials — is scoped to your active workspace
- Switching workspaces shows completely different data, as if you logged into a different account
Creating a workspace
Section titled “Creating a workspace”Your first workspace is created during onboarding. To create additional workspaces:
- Click the workspace switcher in the sidebar
- Click Create Workspace
- Enter a name for the new workspace
Switching workspaces
Section titled “Switching workspaces”- Click the workspace switcher in the sidebar (shows your current workspace name)
- Select the workspace you want to switch to
- The page refreshes with data from the selected workspace
Workspace settings
Section titled “Workspace settings”Go to Settings > Workspace to configure:
- Default currency — set to USD, GBP, EUR, or whatever currency you settle in. This applies to all financial data in the workspace including budgets, revenue, and payout statements.
- Workspace name — the display name shown in the switcher
Common setups
Section titled “Common setups”- One workspace per label or imprint. If you run multiple imprints, each one gets its own workspace with its own roster, release catalog, and financials. Your team members can be in one or both.
- One workspace per management client. Artist managers who handle multiple acts can keep each artist’s releases and contacts separate — or consolidate everything into a single workspace for a combined view.
- Personal plus team. Keep a personal workspace for your own solo projects and a shared workspace for your label or management team.
Data isolation
Section titled “Data isolation”Workspaces are fully isolated. Your A&R team working in your main label workspace cannot see anything from your side-project imprint workspace unless they are also members of that workspace. This means you can safely give people access to one part of your business without exposing another.
